A forecasting system that propels growth.

Challenge

One of the world’s most competitive online travel companies came to us because they were stuck. A segment of their business travel brand was making overly conservative revenue forecasts based on outdated data and an outdated system. The result was that they were funneling an inefficient amount of funds to other parts of the business rather than advancing their own growth.

Solution

With the data available, we were able to revamp that part of the business's forecasting approach and make it more accurate rather than hyper-conservative. This freed up more funds to be spent on initiatives that would help advance the business including marketing and adding new headcount.

Outcome

Not only were the teams happy to have more accurate revenue projections, but they ended up achieving double-digit growth in sales due, in part, to better planning and revenue allocation.
